We are a Chester based company that pride ourselves on customer service and delivering quality services to all our customers. Our main business started in 2005 and we have been providing customers with financial and insurance information and help ever since.

We re-launched our brand and product range in 2016, to meet the changing needs of our customers.

Being totally independent, we have no hidden costs. All our policies are clear and easy to understand, making So Smart Protect a customer friendly brand.

Via the partnerships we have with a range of specialist companies we ensure that our customers have access to a fantastic range of products and services, to suit their needs and budget.

Our brands

The role itself will focus on two of the protection brands; So Smart Health and So Smart Protect.

So Smart Health is a new and exciting area to our business, partnered with AXA we offer a great service and find the right Private Medical Insurance plan for our customer’s needs not just their pocket.

So Smart Protect helps to find solutions for customers protection needs. Products include: Life Insurance, Critical Illness and Income Protection. With access to a panel of top insurers all in one place.

The right candidate

We’re looking for candidates who go the extra mile to find customers the right cover and close the sale every time! We search for the best possible life insurance and protection cover, ensuring customer’s loved ones are protected financially in the event of their death.

If you can show great personality and sensitivity when dealing with customer enquiries, then we’d love to hear from you!

This is a targeted sales role and providing customers with clear, concise information and being able to close the sale is vital.

Most customer enquiries are generated through inbound calls, with some web leads. Outbound calling is also required to follow up quotes and finalise sales.

You will work alongside experienced team members and full training will be given, with ongoing support and mentoring.

Time management is key for our protection experts, as you will largely manage your own working day and prioritise your tasks through our system, attempting as much contact as possible with customers.

This role will develop, with an attractive bonus package and the opportunity to progress up the career ladder.


  • Achieve realistic monthly sales targets
  • Respond to incoming phone and email enquiries
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
  • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to purchase
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
  • Effective management of workload
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required
